Tom is a PGA Life Member, who resides in Boynton Beach with his wife. He joined Boca Woods in 2008. Tom was born and raised in Paramus, New Jersey, and played many sports. He declined a basketball scholarship to attend Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, where he earned a B.S. in Marketing. Following graduation, Tom began his golf career working at independent and family-owned courses throughout the country. In the early 1980's Tom was a member of the ownership/management team that restored The Keswick Country Club (later renamed Full Cry at Keswick Hall) in Charlottesville, VA. While the family would later divest its ownership stake, Tom takes great pride in the fact that the Golf Digest 2015 list of Best New Courses included the once family-owned Keswick. Tom's late father, a PGA Life Member, and mother, a 30-year elementary school teacher, heavily influenced Tom's love of the game and instruction. Tom wants you to putt perfectly, have a great short game, and have a simple repeatable, golf swing that strikes the ball to your target. Most importantly, Tom's wish for you is to have fun playing golf.
Born and raised in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada, Catherine first started playing golf with her Father when she was 8 years old. She was a natural and took to the game instantly and has been working in the golf industry since age 25.
Catherine managed and achieved success playing volleyball at the University of Sherbrooke, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting.
An opportunity to work for a year in Germany involved teaching golf to soldiers that were coming back from Desert Storm. While there she won two local golf tournaments. When she came back to Canada, she was able to put her accounting skills to work in a golf shop just outside of Montreal named L’Epiphanie. It was during this period that she decided to take golf seriously and make a career of it. To get her professional rating she had to pass a two-round playing ability test. She accomplished this by playing a course record of 69 on the second day. She continued working at L’Epiphanie for six years managing the pro shop, teaching and playing some tournaments.
She then went to Summerlea Country Club for two years before making a move to Florida. While visiting South Florida in 1998 she met her husband, George. An opportunity to work brought her to Florida full time where she worked at the Woodlands Country Club in Tamarac from September 1999 to December as an assistant professional.
From January 2011 to February 2014, Catherine joined the Boca Woods team as the head professional where she used her administrative skills and focus on her passion for teaching. After a brief hiatus, Jeremy Moe reached out to Catherine in September 2018 with an offer to be part of the BWCC team again.
Her greatest pleasure and sense of accomplishment and pride comes from teaching the game of golf to her students and being a witness to them achieving their goals. Her experience as a top-level athlete has given her discipline, skills, and vision on how to practice and work specific body parts to improve the golf swing. During her leisure time, she loves biking, traveling and sailing.
